Product Support Specialist
A Product Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical advisory and repair support to workshops and the dealer network, as well as monitoring and resolving technical queries and issues.
Additionally, the role involves training technicians using accumulated data and knowledge from system analysis, and sharing and distributing technical information, knowledge, and expertise for Volkswagen Group Singapore brands.
The ideal candidate must have a passion for and strong technical knowledge in the automotive industry, with a commitment to continuous learning and upgrading of automotive technological skills and knowledge. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to provide full support and guidance to internal stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, and a valid Singapore driving license are required.
Main responsibilities:
Technical Advisory:
- Provide advice and recommendations for service and technical processes.
- Conduct active quality monitoring, technical data analysis, and reporting to management and manufacturers upon request.
- Offer expertise in product safety and workshop campaigns.
- Coordinate campaigns by providing information, clarification on new campaigns, and preparation steps.
Repair Support:
- Handle technical inquiries in the DISS system.
- Proactively visit the workshop network to support and enhance diagnosis and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with the Technical Support Team from HQ to address complex diagnostics/repair procedures.
- Publish technical product information (TPIs).
- Support technical questions regarding warranty claims.
- Act as the Product Safety Coordinator by performing single-incident investigations (safety cases).
- Maintain direct contact with customers to resolve technical-related matters.
Training and Additional Duties:
- Share and distribute technical information, knowledge, and expertise for brands under Volkswagen Group Singapore.
- Conduct on-site training with technicians, emphasizing technology and repair quality.
- Ensure the implementation of Group Aftersales Systems.
